DYLAN GOSSETT – ARTIST SPOTLIGHT AND SINGLES REVIEW

Up and coming country artist, Dylan Gossett announced the release of his highly anticipated debut album. Westward is slated to go live on July 18th via Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. In addition, Gossett just dropped a new single from the record entitled “American Trail”. Dylan Gossett is a 26 year old Texas singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer who in the past few years has created quite a stir. His releases have garnished a massive amount of listens throughout all the current streaming services. Gossett has also received Platinum Certifications from multiple countries including the US and Australia.

Dylan Gossett dropped his first single, “To Be Free”, in 2023. That same year, he followed it up with what would be his breakout hit. “Coal” instantly became a fan favorite. Both tunes showcased Gossett‘s strong songwriting and his truly emotive voice. His lyrics are totally relatable and his listeners really feel his passion and dramatic edge. His real life blue collar persona rings true throughout his songs. 2023 also brought his first EP, No Better Time, which contained both “To Be Free” and “Coal”.

2024 was just as monumental for Gossett. He released another EP, Songs in the Gravel which further enhanced his growing fanbase. Additionally, he let loose another massive hit, “Tree Birds” which solidified his lofty position in the country music metaverse. It has taken two years for Gossett to write the 17 track Westward. At the same time, Gossett unceasingly toured to world in order to bring his music to his fans. Speaking about Westward, Gossett states: “This album is a collection of stories that I wrote during the craziest two years of my life. I hope everyone can find something for themselves in it.

“Tree Birds” is brazen mix of country and Americana flavors. Gossett‘s vocals are cinematic and vibrant. The song is rich with lush tones and has a spunky groove. Every note is a treasure. The guitars, harmonica and keys all create a singular vibe that is impetuous and addictive. Gossett truly knows how to compose a stellar track. “American Trail” is a beautiful jewel with elevated textures that easily cascades throughout the listener’s spirit. “American Trail” has a singular verve that transcends the norm.

Dylan Gossett is a superstar in the making. Every song and release is a rapacious experience Westward is going to power Gossett into the stratosphere and beyond. He is currently on a two prong tour, so catch him if you can.
