Lorenzo Musetti is currently battling defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals of the French Open 2025. With the two duking it out for a spot in the championship round on Friday (June 6) evening, the Italian had one of his biggest supporters in the house cheering for him.
Musetti’s girlfriend, Veronica Confalonieri, was spotted in the stands rooting for her partner’s success. While that isn’t too surprising in itself, the duo recently announced that they’re expecting their second child. Given in light of her pregnancy, seeing her in the stands was a pleasant surprise.
Confalonieri was quite pleased with how the proceedings were unfolding on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Musetti won the first set of his semifinal showdown against Alcaraz. The Italian then rallied from a break down at the start of the second set to get back on serve.
Winning the set would put Musetti in the driver’s seat, though one cannot count out Alcaraz even when he’s two sets down. The Spaniard overcame a two-set deficit in the semifinals and the final to emerge victorious in Paris last year.
