The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season will next head to the Michigan International Speedway for the 15th race of the season, the FireKeepers Casino 400. Ahead of the event, NASCAR insider Bob Pockrass gave his prediction, picking the winner, top-five finishers, and a long-shot winner for the 2025 FireKeepers Casino 400.
Pockrass picked RFK Racing’s driver Chris Buescher to reach the victory lane at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, June 8. Buescher has a decent record at the two-mile Michigan, as he has recorded one win, one top-five, and three top-10 finishes to his name in 14 races. The #17 Ford driver will start from the sixth position in the 36-driver field on Sunday.
Rounding out Pockrass’ top five predictions are the defending winner of the event, Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, Chase Briscoe, and Ty Gibbs. He also chose Zane Smith as a long-shot prospect. Smith will start from the 10th position.
Pockrass wrote on X:
“My pick for today at Michigan: Chris Buescher … top-5: Buescher Reddick Larson Briscoe Gibbs … longshot: Zane Smith. ET 1:30-Prime-Prerace 2:19-Prime-Cup race 45-75-80, 7 sets, fuel 49-55”
Chris Buescher has scored one top-five finish and six top-10 finishes in 14 races so far in the 2025 season and will look to clinch his first win of the season. He has an average finish of 15.8 in 14 races and currently stands 14th in the Cup Series points table. He has the 11th highest odds to win at Michigan.
Meanwhile, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are the top favorites to win the FireKeepers Casino 400 in the odds table.
