Popular Punjabi rapper and singer AP Dhillon shared a picture with Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya on social media on Sunday, June 8. The 31-year-old cricketer was last seen in action leading the Mumbai Indians (MI) during IPL 2025, which concluded on June 3 with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinching their maiden title.

AP Dhillon posted the picture on his Instagram stories, accompanied by his recent track ‘STFU’, which also features Shinda Kahlon.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians had a topsy-turvy run in the IPL 2025 season. After a sluggish start—managing just one win in their first five games—the team bounced back impressively, winning six consecutive matches and seven out of their last nine.

Their late surge propelled them to fourth place on the points table with 16 points, securing a spot in the playoffs. MI defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator with a 20-run victory but couldn’t maintain their momentum, losing to Punjab Kings (PBKS) by five wickets in Qualifier 2, thereby failing to reach the final for the fifth consecutive season.

Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2025 campaign ended with a defeat to Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. Despite the loss, captain Hardik Pandya delivered a fairly solid performance throughout the tournament.

With the bat, he scored 224 runs in 12 innings at an average of 24.88 and an impressive strike rate of 163.50. He also made valuable contributions with the ball, picking up 14 wickets in as many innings, including a five-wicket haul.

Overall, the all-rounder has played 152 matches in the IPL, scoring 2,749 runs at an average of 28.34 and a strike rate of 146.92. The 31-year-old has notched up 10 half-centuries, with a career-best score of 91. In addition, the right-arm seamer has taken 78 wickets at an average of 31.94 and an economy rate of 9.18.
