Dan Fogler is best known for his roles as Luke Abrams on AMC hit The Walking Dead and as Jacob Kowalski in the Fantastic Beasts series. Now, he’s ready to take on another big geeky franchise.
In a direct quote to Tech Advisor at MCM Comic Con London, he revealed not one, but two huge series that he’d love to be a part of that he’s not yet worked on:
“I got to work with [James] Mangold recently on A Complete Unknown… Mangold was connected to Indiana Jones, and he’s going to do a Star Wars movie at some point. So I’m just like, see what happens there. Give him a little text. But I would love to be in that world. I’d love to be in the Indiana Jones world too, if they can squeeze one more movie out of it.
I mentioned to Fogler that Star Wars also has a large TV universe, with the stellar series Andor most recently wrapping up its second and final season, to which he responded:
“Right? There’s so much… the odds are in my favour”.
The Mangold Star Wars project Fogler is referring to was revealed back in April 2023. It will explore the dawn of the Jedi and the origins of the mysterious Force, and it’ll be set roughly 25,000 years before the prequel trilogy – and, by proxy, Andor.
Star Wars also has several other projects in the pipeline, including The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie, Ahsoka season 2 and a film in development by New Zealand comedy legend, Taika Waititi.
Fogler wasn’t the only star in attendance at Comic Con this weekend. Doctor Who and Good Omens actor David Tennant was interviewed and teased a very secret project he’s been working on.
