Many fans of British acting royalty David Tennant are awaiting his return as the demon Crowley in season 3 of Good Omens, but today at MCM Comic Con London he revealed some other projects he currently has in the works.
During his panel discussion with host Wee Claire where Tech Advisor was in attendance, Tennant answered a question from a fan, who asked what character he’d like to play from a piece of work that he’d enjoyed.
In response, Tennant gave the following answer:
“You mean that I haven’t done yet? Oh well there is, but I can’t… just in case it happens, I don’t want to… there’s something we’re working on right now, that hopefully, hopefully will come to fruition and will answer your question. But it’s too soon to say.
So hopefully I’ll have an answer to your question. I just can’t give it to you now. But in about… maybe in about six months, a year’s time… if everything were to go to plan, there may be a wee announcement.”
As he’s referring to a brand-new role, we don’t expect that this will be anything related to Doctor Who. While his answer doesn’t give away what type of project it is, Tennant also revealed an audio role that he’s just wrapped that coincides nicely with an upcoming cinematic release:
“I just recorded a new How to Train Your Dragon book this week.”
Tennant narrates the audiobooks of this series, and the live-action adaptation of the film (based on the animation) is set to hit theatres on 13 June 2025.
Tennant can currently be found on ITV as the host of the quiz show, Genius Game. He’s also set to star in The Hack, a dramatised version of the phone hacking scandal at News of the World, also on ITV1/ITVX.
